The Royal Yachting Association, the national body representing all aspects of sailing in the UK. Operates locally, nationally and internationally. For information about clubs, classes, courses, events and much more, see - www.rya.org.uk

Insurance
Insuring your dinghy is a vital step. You will rarely be allowed to sail at any club (including SYSC) without adequate insurance for at least third party risk. Many Class Associations have established schemes. Failing that, you could try Noble Marine at www.noblemarine.co.uk
